Rolex Tiffany

With the turquoise blue dial for the Oyster Perpetual - also known as the Rolex Tiffany - the Swiss luxury manufacturer launched one of the most sought-after dial variants of recent years in 2020. The series has always represented the quintessential Oyster and is considered the most understated of all Rolex models. With the new colourful Stella dials, it becomes a shooting star in demand. In 2020, Rolex launched further dial colours for the Oyster Perpetual alongside the turquoise blue Tiffany dial:

• Coral Red
• Green
• Yellow

In addition to the new Tiffany dial variants, Rolex has made the Oyster-Perpetual collection fit for the future in recent years. First of all, this includes the most modern calibre generation. It is characterised by a power reserve of about 70 hours and a precision of +/- two seconds per day. A paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring ensures a high degree of insensitivity to magnetic fields. With the Easylink extension integrated into the bracelet, you can also extend the sporty Oyster strap by five millimetres in no time at all.

The nomenclature of the Oyster Perpetual has also been completed in recent years: the model is available in five different diameters:

The Rolex Tiffany with the turquoise dial is available in 31 millimetres (Ref. 277200), 36 millimetres (Ref. 126000) and 41 millimetres (Ref. 124300).

The colourful Stella Dials are not a novelty in the world of Rolex: the term dates back to the 1970s, when the company produced colourful dials made of enamel - especially for the Day-Date. For this purpose, the manufacturer sourced special lacquers and paints from a company called Stella, based in Châtelaine (Vernier) and Geneva. The handmade enamel dials were sold in the 1970s and 1980s and are now among the most valuable Rolex dials ever – alongside the COMEX and Double Red dials for the Submariner range.

While the current Rolex Tiffany with the characteristic turquoise blue is only available as an Oyster Perpetual, the vintage Stella dials were mainly produced for the Day-Date and partly for the Datejust. Therefore, if you are looking for a Tiffany Datejust, there is only one vintage model to consider - the Stella variants of the 1970s and 1980s were also produced with tiffany blue dials.
