CHRONEXT Announces New €11M Financing Round Led by Partech Ventures

CHRONEXT, a curated online marketplace for luxury watches, announced today a series C financing round of €11M. The round was led by Partech Ventures and joined by Octopus Ventures, who came in as a new backer in this round, alongside existing investors, Capnamic Ventures, NRW.BANK and InVenture Partners.

Entry into multi-channel retailing: CHRONEXT becomes the first online marketplace to launch a luxury watch flagship boutique

CHRONEXT, the Swiss e-commerce company for buying and selling luxury watches, opened the doors to its flagship boutique on the 8th of November 2015 in Mayfair, Lon- don (W1). A selected number of special guests were invited to the company’s successful opening event to celebrate the move into the world of brick-and-mortar. The shop resides right next to the traditional “In & Out Naval and Military Club" and measures approximate- ly 970 square feet. Over 250 watches are currently being exhibited in the shop. Utilising tablets in the boutique, clients are provided with direct access to the company’s entire online collection, which consists of over 8,000 watches from brands such as Rolex, Omega, or Maurice Lacroix. These timepieces can be ordered on the spot and shipped to the CHRONEXT Boutique or directly to the clients’ home.

CHRONEXT raises a $5.3m venture round to win the online luxury watch marketplace market

Partech Ventures, InVenture Partners, MGO Digital Ventures, Altus Capital and Playfair Capital invest in online marketplace for luxury watches

CHRONEXT, the leading platform for buying and selling luxury watches, has closed a $5.3m venture round from Partech Ventures, InVenture Partners, MGO Digital Ventures, Altus Capi- tal and Playfair Capital. Existing investors Capnamic Ventures and NRW.Bank, as well as several business angels, also participated anew. Founded in 2013, the business will deploy the fresh capital into marketing, technology and customer success to bolster its position as the de facto destination for purchasing, selling or servicing luxury timepieces. The company will also focus on expanding its market share in German-speaking Europe and the UK.
