The Omega Speedmaster '57 – homage to an icon

Launched in 2015, the Omega Speedmaster '57 tips its hat to the origins of the legendary Speedmaster series. The Speedmaster '57 Co-Axial Chronograph is based closely on the original design from 1957, but it has a charm all of its own. With over 15 variants to choose from, the 41.5 mm '57 version with precision movement has a lot to offer, making it the perfect sidekick for anyone with an adventurous spirit.

Omega Speedmaster '57 – 1957 vs. 2015

This new edition bears a clear, unmistakable resemblance to the first Speedmaster from 1957. Omega Speedmaster '57 watches has the same black dial, beige indices and brushed bezel. The practical tachymeter scale of the new model is also in line with the traditional Speedmaster aesthetic. At the same time, subtle features like the Omega Speedmaster '57's broad arrow hands help to give this updated version its own character. The decision to restrict the watch to two sub-dials is also new, but combined with the innovative arrangement of the 12 and 60 minute counters, it makes for easy, intuitive reading in high octane situations.

With the design of the lugs and bracelet, the Swiss manufacturer creates a nostalgic link between the Speedmaster '57 and the original model. But as well as being a charming tribute to bygone decades, this version also builds on past achievements and develops them even further. When you buy the Omega Speedmaster '57, you'll be treating yourself to a timelessly beautiful classic that's also a technical masterpiece.

Retro looks with the latest technology

At the heart of the 17 different Omega Speedmaster '57 models is the same revolutionary Co-Axial 9300/9301 movement with chronograph function. Driven by a silicon balance spring and with a power reserve of around 60 hours, this is one of the most modern and highly developed movements currently available. Omega has always been the epitome of perfection and precision, so it goes without saying that this mechanism is COSC certified.

Thanks to the transparent backing, the technical sophistication of this remarkable in-house movement is completely open to view. The sapphire crystal is highly scratch and impact resistant, and in addition this timepiece is water resistant to 100 metres.
