The highlight of the IWC 2021 models is the Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar. After this model disappeared from the scene, IWC reissued the flagship with the sophisticated complication for the 2021 model year. The new edition features the classic Big Pilot case with a diameter of 46.2 millimetres. In addition to a window between seven and eight o'clock, which shows the respective year, four totalisers display all relevant information on the dial:

• 12 o'clock: Moon phase display
• 3 o'clock: Date and power reserve display
• 6 o'clock: Month display
• 9 o'clock: Day of the week and small seconds

The Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar is equipped with the manufacturer 52615 calibre. This mechanism consists of 386 individual parts and has a power reserve of seven days.

Other IWC novelties include two models from the Mojave Desert Edition, which feature a sand-coloured ceramic case and a matching brown dial. The hands and the inscription on the dial are also in sand beige. While the 46-millimetre Top Gun Mojave Desert Edition has a date display at six o'clock and a power reserve display at three o'clock, the Perpetual Calendar Mojave Desert Edition has four totalisers.

Smaller versions of both the 46-millimetre Big Pilot's Watch and the-43 millimetre Chronograph are now available. They come in two different sizes:

• IWC Big Pilot's Watch: 46 and 43mm
• IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph: 43 and 41mm

With this step, IWC's 2021 novelties offer a moderate downsizing without discontinuing the respective classics. The smaller diameters score points with harmonious proportions and advanced calibres. In the case of the Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41, the manufacturer 69375 calibre offers a power reserve of 46 hours, two hours more than the 43-millimetre version. The smaller Big Pilot's Watch is available in blue and black, while the new chronograph is available in blue as well as a charming shade of green.
